PS Plus Extra’s November departures are listed for 17 November 2026. That gives subscribers about 25 days from publication to decide what to play before the current list disappears from the Game Catalog. If you are staring at a backlog, the useful question is not which game is “best”; it is which one fits the time you actually have.

The date also falls two days before Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on 19 November, according to Rockstar’s announcement. That makes GTA V a headline departure, but it is not a reason to assume the games are being removed because of the new release.

The 11 games listed to leave on 17 November

The current list reported from the PlayStation Store’s “Last Chance to Play” section by Push Square and PlayStation Universe is:

  • Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4)
  • Football Manager 26 Console (PS5)
  • Grand Theft Auto V (PS5, PS4)
  • The Talos Principle 2 (PS5)
  • Cricket 24 (PS5, PS4)
  • Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom (PS5, PS4)
  • Hotshot Racing (PS4)
  • Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break (PS4)
  • Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair (PS4)
  • Rapala Fishing: Pro Series (PS4)
  • Yet Another Zombie Defense HD (PS4)

Regional store lists can update at different times. An early regional report from PlayStation LifeStyle had a partial list that differed from the later Australian list discussed in the PS Plus community and the updated reports. Before planning around a deadline, check the “Last Chance to Play” section on your own console or PlayStation Store account. Sony’s Australian support page explains where to find the Game Catalog on PS5 and PS4.

How much time do you have?

From 23 October to 17 November is roughly 25 days. If you can play about one hour a day, that is around 25 hours. Two hours a day gives you about 50 hours; three hours a day gives you roughly 75. Treat those as planning limits, not a promise that every game can be completed in that time.

That comparison matters for the two big open-world stories. GTA V’s main story is commonly estimated at around 30 hours, according to GTA Intel, while player-submitted HowLongToBeat data puts Red Dead Redemption 2’s main story near 50 hours, as summarised by HowToVideoGame. Those averages vary with play style and do not include everything to explore. If you have about an hour a day, choose one of those stories at most; trying to finish both before the deadline is unrealistic for most players.

The Talos Principle 2 is a more bounded campaign: WhichGameNext reports a HowLongToBeat main-story average of about 20 hours. That makes it a more plausible choice if you have roughly an hour a day and want to see credits, although puzzle-solving pace can change the result. The other games cover different kinds of play; sports and management saves, arcade races, fishing and repeatable action modes are better treated as ongoing sessions than as a race to a single ending.

What should you start first?

  1. Continue the game you are already close to finishing. Your existing progress is usually more useful than starting a new title because it is getting the most attention online.
  2. Pick one long story, not both. Choose GTA V if you want a mission-led crime story, or Red Dead Redemption 2 if you are willing to spend more of the remaining window in its slower western world. The estimates above are for the main story, not full completion.
  3. Choose a bounded campaign if your time is limited. The Talos Principle 2 has a shorter reported main-story average than either Rockstar game. If puzzles are not your thing, try one of the other listed games for a session and see whether its style suits you.
  4. Check the store before buying a game to keep playing. A Game Catalog listing requires an eligible membership and can leave the catalog. Confirm the local date, edition and current price in your account before making a purchase decision; this guide does not recommend buying any particular title.

One last check before the games leave

PlayStation Plus Game Catalog access depends on having the correct membership plan, and the catalog changes. Sony’s console instructions say to open PlayStation Plus from the Games home screen on PS5 and choose Benefits, then Game Catalog; on PS4, open PlayStation Plus and select Game Catalog. Check the “Last Chance to Play” row in your region before relying on the 17 November date.

If you are short on time, do not turn the whole list into a deadline challenge. Choose one game you genuinely want to play, set a realistic number of sessions and enjoy it. The rest can go back on your wishlist if it leaves before you get to it.
